Rhizome
School of Humanities
Residential Integrated Humanities Programme for Girls
Plus One & Plus Two
Learning as a Form of Life
Rhizome School of Humanities is a residential community of learning for girls who choose Humanities as a conscious and ambitious pathway. It offers an integrated Plus One and Plus Two programme in which formal schooling, intellectual training, and disciplined study unfold as a unified way of life.
In an age shaped by artificial intelligence and accelerating technological power, Rhizome reclaims the Humanities as the cultivation of what remains irreducibly human: judgment formed through reflection, language shaped by thought, ethical discernment, and responsibility toward the shared world.

At the heart of this formation stands a specially designed Diploma in Islamic Studies, serving as an ethical and intellectual compass. Grounded in Islamic texts, language, and traditions, the diploma invites students to encounter questions of law, society, morality, and modern life in sustained conversation with history, philosophy, and the social sciences.
Life at Rhizome is residential and mentored. Learning extends beyond classrooms into shared study, dialogue, and reflection. Faculty mentors accompany students closely, cultivating habits of inquiry, intellectual discipline, and moral seriousness, allowing education to take root in daily life.

Alongside this foundation, Rhizome provides integrated coaching and early preparation for paths of public responsibility—law, civil services, academia, education, and policy—where clarity of thought and ethical judgment are indispensable.
By weaving study, mentorship, faith, and living together, Rhizome understands education not merely as preparation for examinations or careers, but as the shaping of a life capable of thought, leadership, and responsibility.

“Study Humanities as It Matters”
Message from the Leadership

P. Mujeeb Rahman
Chief Patron, WIC
“For over four decades, WIC Wandoor has upheld a strong tradition of girls’ education within a safe, residential environment rooted in Islamic values. Guided by academic excellence and moral responsibility, WIC has continually adapted to the changing educational needs of young women.
It is in this spirit that we introduce Rhizome School of Humanities—an integrated residential Plus One and Plus Two programme that reorients Humanities education for a complex, rapidly changing world. At a time shaped by technology and public uncertainty, Rhizome emphasizes judgment, ethical reasoning, language, and leadership.
The programme integrates school education with structured coaching, advanced language training, and intellectual formation. At its core is a specially designed Diploma in Islamic Studies, providing students with a strong ethical and intellectual compass for engaging history, society, law, and contemporary life.
Through Rhizome, we seek to prepare young women for leadership pathways in law, civil services, academia, and public life—grounded in values, clarity, and purpose. ”
